Emerging as a global luxury brand beyond Korea

Juun.J, Cheil Industries’ globally noted menswear brand, showed off its 2016 Spring/Summer Paris collection at Palais de Tokyo in Paris, France on 26 June 2015, 1 pm (local time).

Juun.J has participated in the Paris collection every year since the autumn of 2007 and received numerous favorable reviews. For this year’s collection, its 17th so far, the brand showcased a total of 36 apparel items.

The event was crowded with Angelo Flaccavento, a famous journalist from style.com, attending as well as 600 well-known buyers and fashion people around the world including Saks 5th Avenue (New York), Harrods (London), Galeries Lafayette (Paris) and I.T (Hong Kong). Local press coverage was also heavy including prestigious dailies such as Le Figaro and Le Monde.

Wowing onlookers was Serge Ibaka, the star forward for the Oklahoma City Thunder NBA team whose attendance at the show reaffirmed Juun.J’s presence as a global brand.

Presenting Juun.J’s unique denim look that reaches beyond stereotypes and boundaries

Inspired by marine looks, Juun.J presented denim with a futuristic and fresh perspective for this season.

Based on classic tailoring, the collection rearranges classic fabrics such as denim and wool with a unique perspective. Juun.J’s attempt at shifting conventional modes of thinking was impressive.

In particular, Juun.J offered a high-end collection with superior quality that had overcome the traditional boundaries of items and fabrics and captured an original avant-garde silhouette with precise tailoring by introducing a top with a cubic effect that used a zipper instead of buttons and an outer that transformed Juun.J’s signature trench coat into a double trench.

The collection applied white as the point color to express modern and profound sensibility while using navy, blue and black as accentuating hues.

The collection’s finale stage was filled with all-white looks: models in oversized trucker jackets and white short pants wore blonde wigs as a tribute to the hot boys that cruise the Miami Beach scene.
