May 15th—Samsung Everland’s ‘Galaxy’ menswear brand is rolling up its sleeves to solidify its image as the official brand of the Korean national team for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil (kicking off on June 13) following its sponsorship of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Galaxy will provide all off-field clothing items, such as suits, shirts, ties, shoes and even T-shirts for all 58 members of the national team including the team’s coach, Myung-Bo Hong, and all players and staff members.

For this special event Galaxy has designed a distinctive suit for the national team it has named the “Pride 11.” The suit emphasizes a classic and slim fit to express the confidence of the national team players. Made with a Lycra blend stretch fabric, the suit provides maximum comfort for shoulder and arm movements.

Galaxy will showcase the official national team off-field uniform on the 22nd.

“It is an honor to sponsor the national team’s off-field uniform for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil following our sponsorship of the team’s attire for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa,” said Executive Manager Hyeong-Jun Ham of Samsung Everland’s Menswear Division. “Dressed in a Galaxy suit, Korea’s No. 1 suit, our players will hold a competitive edge in the World Cup in terms of not only their playing performance, but also fashion sense.”

Galaxy has also organized an event to a special team anthem for 2014 to boost the morale of the national team in the hope that they will make it to at least the final 16. The event centers on the song “We Want Victory Pride 11.” This song holds particular significance as it was created by Kyung-Ho Kim, a rocker with an explosive voice, and will be sung together with help from 2,014 volunteers. To achieve this, Galaxy has opened a special website (www.galaxypride11.kr) on the 19th and invited participants to sing the anthem. Those wishing to participate in this event should visit the website, open the event popup and record their singing of “We Want Victory” by pressing the record button. Participants selected through a drawing will receive gifts consisting of the national team’s official suits (11), pique shirts (11), ties (11) and CDs signed by Kyung-Ho Kim (50).

The event will end as soon as 2,014 people sign up. The anthem will be released through the micro website.
